We are looking for a dynamic Office Assistant to perform regular office/clerical and Maintenance responsibilities for one of Cove’s manufactured home communities. We expect our office personnel to interact positively with our current and prospective residents who call or come into our office with questions or concerns. Our team interacts daily with each other, and our office is the hub of activity.

*Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Reports to: Community Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attract new customers and guests through active marketing, excellent customer service, and adding value to the living experience of our residents
  • Understand and apply your skills in Microsoft Office applications, and other web-based applications including email, financial systems, and Manage America property management system
  • Community event planning
  • Regular park inspections
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Performs spring cleaning of all rental units, bath houses and public areas.
  • Cleans public buildings including bathhouses: all fixtures, floors, walls.
  • Empties trash containers in all public buildings including bathhouses.
  • Ensures area adjacent to bathhouse is free from litter.
  • Understanding and assistance with the laws governing Residential Tenancies appropriate to the community
  • Delivering of notice to tenants
  • Filing, answering phones and scheduling appointments for sales/rentals
  • Working extended hours at month-end for move ins/outs and rent collection
  • Weeding, grass cutting, vacant site clean ups, garbage pickup
  • Fill in for Community Manager when required
  • Use resident relation and communication skills in keeping with the culture and values of Cove Communities
  • Other assigned duties from the Community Manager

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strongly demonstrates ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Some heavy lifting will be required, therefore applicant must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Adaptable and resourceful self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of prior customer service experience.
  • Experience in property management preferred.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
