• Collaborate with a small team of seriously qualified and experienced teachers. All of the teachers on our team have worked in the industry for years and we love teaching. We take our work seriously and we’re all about helping each other.
• Meet students online from all over the world in one-on-one tutoring sessions. We do not offer group lessons.

Who we are

English for Canada is a small online English school specialized in IELTS/CELPIP exam prep courses. We offer both general English lessons for all levels; however, most of our students reach out to us for exam prep lessons due to excellent results. We helped our first student online in 2014, and since then, we've helped hundreds pass their exams.

We focus on personalized lessons over group sessions. That way, we can offer the one-on-one feedback and corrections that each student needs to get the band scores they’re looking for.

Who we are looking for

A kind and committed teacher with an official teaching certificate or degree, preferably with teaching or examining experience for the IELTS/CELPIP/TOEFL exams.

While we do prefer hiring a qualified teacher with a history of ESL teaching experience, we are more inclined to hire someone who is truly passionate about learning and who will actually commit to our team.

• Someone who is tech savvy. You don’t need to be a tech whiz, but can you navigate Zoom/Skype, and Google Drive? That’s all we ask : )

Compensation and Hours

We are currently in need of hiring a teacher who works in PST time zone, who is available preferably in the evening after 5pm.

Compensation for exam prep lessons starts at CAD $23/hour and CAD $21/hour for general English lessons, depending on teaching experience. Our hourly rate is between $21-$25.
