We are looking for a full time optometric technician/assistant to join our busy growing office. We are an optometry clinic located in scenic Lindsay that has provided an unmatched level of patient care and customer service to the city of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding area for over 27 years.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and efficient multi-tasker with strong interpersonal skills, who is committed to providing high quality service and patient care. Experience in the eye care field is not required to apply; we are willing to train the right candidate who is a good fit with the current team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • to learn and become proficient in front desk reception skills including appropriate bookings, triaging emergencies and seamless movement of patients in and out of the clinic.
  • to learn and highly execute working up patients for the doctors. This will involve the learning and utilization of a number of diagnostic pieces of machinery. You will learn the purpose of all of the diagnostic tests and work very closely with the doctors, streamlining their flow of patients for efficiency.
  • to learn and develop knowledge and skills beneficial in an optical dispensary.

  • Approachable, adaptable and coachable
  • Self-motivated with a desire for continual learning and improvement
  • Up to date vaccinations for COVID-19
