Job Description – Order Desk Specialist

We are looking for an Order Desk Specialist with great customer service skills to join our fast paced snack food manufacturing company. The right individual is a team player, who is detailed oriented with the ability to multitask and has a desire to excel at their job.

Order Desk Specialist

Duties and responsibilities

Accurately enter and process purchase orders in a timely manner and revise as necessary

Create ASN’s and prepare skid labels for shipping department

Keep orders organized and review schedule for any changes

Book carriers

Maintain schedule updated as orders are shipped. Including updates of pick up and delivery appointments.

Diligently follow purchase orders through completion, working with appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues that delay timely processing.

Prepare BOL and Customs paperwork for intercompany movements of raw materials, finished goods and equipment.

Accurately prepare intercompany invoices and summary sheet to keep control of movements for end of the month reconciling and posting.

Maintain customer and EDI database by entering/mapping new customers and updated customer account information ie: new skus, revised pricing, new ship to addresses etc.

Attend to couriers for deliveries for Sales and QC department

Assisting reception when required and back up for billing department as needed

Support the company’s administrative staff in a variety of general office and clerical tasks.

Experience with Accpac and excel preferred

Post secondary education is an asset

Administrative 2 years experience preferred

MS office suite skills

On site in person office required

Monday to Friday – day shift

Salary range 45k to 47k

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
