Our growing company is currently looking to hire
a Parts Runner to join our
Procurement team, based out of our
Fort St. John office. This is a
full-time role, Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm. This role includes travelling in and around Fort St. John to complete the daily parts and material pickups for the Purchasing department and other departments as required. This role also ensures the shop is in a clean safe and operating manner.
Responsibilities:
As our Parts Runner you will be responsible for:
- Complete pick-up and delivery of parts, materials, tools in a time efficient manner with proper communication back to the warehouse.
- Communicate with vendors regarding the pickup and delivery of parts as required.
- General shop maintenance and cleaning.
- Physically receiving material and putting into applicable location as directed by the warehouse staff.
- Assist with the set-up and take-down of monthly safety meetings.
- Completing regular shop, forklift, and truck inspections as required.
- Any other projects or assignments as required.
Qualifications required:
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment.
- Forklift ticket would be considered an asset.
- Have the proper PPE such as steel toed boots.
