Robert Half is looking for a Payroll Clerk to perform duties to support the Payroll department at a growing company in the Vancouver, British Columbia area. This challenging position calls for a candidate with a strong sense of initiative looking to advance their career path and work alongside an industry leader. The position's responsibilities include being able to effectively communicate with the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's responsibilities will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a long-term contract / temporary basis.

• Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
• Administer and distribute reports as instructed
• Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
• Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
• Build and run custom reports
• Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
• Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
• Less than one year of experience preferred
• Computer Data Entry experience preferred
• Microsoft Excel experience preferred
• Proficiency in numeric data entry
• Adeptness in Payroll Taxes
• Customer service experience highly desired
• Comprehensive knowledge of T4
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
• Outstanding data entry skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Efficient in Payroll software
• Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
