Personal Chef Job at Maeven Chef

Maeven Chef Oakville, ON

$22–$25 an hour

Maeven Chef is an in-home personal chef service based in Mississauga and Oakville offering weekly meal prep and dinner parties. Maeven Chef has achieved rapid success over the past year with many exciting opportunities. Our weekly meal prep services now have a waiting list, and we are ready to expand.

About the job

Maeven Chef is looking for a personal chef to specialize in weekly meal prep services. Our clients choose a weekly time slot (ex: Monday mornings), and the chef will have a set of scheduled visits each week. Our meal prep clients tend to prefer help earlier in the weeks, so ideally the Personal Chef would be available to work Sunday-Thursday.

The successful applicant is…

Someone who is ready to leave the high stress environment of restaurants behind and have the chance to work independently in clients’ homes to create outstanding meals. The business has two main services; dinner parties and weekly meal prep. The Personal chef will be mostly doing the weekly meal prep service but may also be involved in dinner parties on occasion. This role is very unique in the industry as it is self-directed, flexible with scheduling, and can be specialized to the Chef’s interests.

Each client fills out a questionnaire to determine what they are looking for exactly. The Personal Chef will collaborate with the Founder, Marijke, to come up with initial menu options for the client. When the chef is comfortable, they can take over the weekly menus and communicate with their clients. Our meal prep service covers the shopping, cooking, and cleanup/organization at the client’s home.
