Job Description:
These temporary Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitter positions will have varying hours dependent on client needs. All candidates are encouraged to apply as LOA is available for this position. Valid WHMIS and Fall Protection are required. We have a referral bonus program in place for this role, and we are offering $200 for referrals that successful join our team for this project.

Join our upcoming 2023 Mercer Turnaround at the Peace River, Alberta pulp mill from May 7th - May 15th.

What would you be doing?
- Remove, install valves, PSVs, and piping.
- Installation and removal of blinds and blanks.
- Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Join pipe sections, and related equipment and secure in position.
- Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
- Maintain and repair piping systems.
Does this sound like you?
- Alberta Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson, Interprovincial, and Apprentices accepted (proof required)
- Valid WHMIS and Fall Protection safety tickets required; AWP considered an asset
- Previous pulp mill experience is an asset
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- High regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets, and employees
- Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines
- Must have own trade-specific tools - please inquire about our Tool List for clarification
- Must be clean-shaven and have the ability to do mask work
