Torque Industrial Ltd. is looking at hiring Journeypersons Pipefitters and Apprentice Pipefitters for a 24 Day Shift running both Days and Nights with a shift changing to a rotation schedule of 10 on and 4 off after completion of current project.

Position Summary:

This is a physically and mentally challenging position involving heavy lifting, hard work, solid people skills, willingness to take direction, a strong work ethic, and a desire to perform requested duties with a focus on safety and appropriate precautions.

You bring the following:

• Work well with others and at times with little or no supervision
• Capable of working within a fast paced environment
• Ability to follow direction, remain alert, and maintain a high level of concentration
• Have good judgement and the ability to react quickly

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand process pipe drawings, fit pipe spools according to spool drawing
• Demonstrates knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, and bolting up, valves and fittings
• Performs bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing
• Assembles and installs piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
• Uses testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
• Complete all documentation and requirements
• Clamping and structural support of pipe systems
• Comprehension and compliance with all safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Must have a Journeyperson Certificate or be a registered Pipefitter Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Good knowledge of hand tools and threading equipment
• Ability to perform material take offs for piping systems
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• AWP Ticket - Current
• Fall Protection - Current
• CSO is an asset
• First Aid is an asset

Conditions of Employment:

• Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
• Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Location: High Prairie, AB

Day/Night Shifts: 12-hour shift with O/T after 8 hours

Sub/LOA: $180/day.

Travel: paid at straight time to be determined at time of interview.

Wages: Dependent upon Journeyperson Certificate or Apprenticeship Status.
