is a diversified worldwide aircraft charter and leasing operation. KBA is currently seeking an individual to join the Planning and Reliability Department in the role of Technical Records Clerk. This full-time position is based in Calgary, AB working Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.


Job Description


Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Manager, the Technical Records Clerk is responsible for accurately updating the Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS) and administering all aircraft Technical Records in accordance with company manuals and Transport Canada regulatory requirements.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Transcribe and verify all fleet and third-party maintenance, including component and configuration changes, recorded on log sheets or task cards into Aircraft Maintenance Software (AMS) and relevant aircraft Technical Logbooks.
  • Confirm and enter aircraft total hours and cycles reported by daily log sheets across the fleet and issue time corrections where necessary.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and correct inaccuracies found in AMS, on log sheets or task cards.
  • Maintain the PT6 Trend Monitoring Program by reporting all engine trend numbers and maintenance performed. Escalate any alerts as required.
  • Identify recurring defects and report according to company procedures.
  • Perform Technical Record document control through the collection, filing, scanning, shipping and archiving of aircraft records and related documents as required.
  • Support field staff by providing updated maintenance forecasts, advising corrections to paperwork, providing oversight for completion, and relaying relevant information to these teams.
  • Communicate with our clients regarding flight times and maintenance performed on dry leased aircraft. Submit information requests as required.
  • Capture all pilot reported defects, extensions and deferred maintenance items in AMS and in the aircraft Technical Logbooks.
  • Record the completion of all modifications, STCs/LSTCs, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins in compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
  • Participate in internal and Transport Canada audits by providing requested documentation and contributing to solutions where required.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to clear a Transport Canada background check for Airport Security and RAIC pass.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in aircraft or engine record keeping is preferred.
  • Technically proficient – capable of understanding components, their location and general functionality in relation to aircraft maintenance.
  • Performance driven candidate that possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate should be capable of accurately keying a minimum of 70 wpm and have excellent basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high volume, noisy environment.
  • Previous experience with maintenance software AMS is considered an asset.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
