Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the food and beverage of the main premium club areas and suites for multiple different events at TD Place Stadium (i.e. Redblacks Game, Atletico Games, etc).
  • Ensures all aspects of the food and beverage service of an event are prepped, set up correctly, and are meeting the required set out premium standards of providing a high-level premium service for all events.
  • Creates buffet layouts and floor plans for the food and beverage stations, ensuring all the actual set up plans are completed correctly.
  • Ensure all our premium areas and our staff are providing a high level of premium food and beverage to our guests.
  • Able to successfully manage and lead of team of 40+ people to run an event successfully.
  • Oversees the Suite Coordinator and the Senior Premium Supervisor and providing support as needed.
  • Ensures to main required team staffing numbers for events
  • Works with other departments to ensure that all the details for an event are covered.
  • Comes up with new idea on how to improve sales and service.
  • Supports all company initiatives • Always executes show quality standards.
  • Maintains positive relationships with guests and obtains regular feedback.
  • Holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service.
  • Ensures all security, safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Ensures operations comply with brand clarity statement while working the location.
  • Has excellent brand-specific culinary, wine and beverage knowledge.
  • Effectively uses Purchasing and all financial control systems.
  • Demonstrates and implements good inventory management skills and can successfully apply these skills it all tasks.
  • Able to successfully resolve and issues that arise with clients and staff.
  • Creates signage for all food and beverage station for their assigned areas.
  • Aides in setting standard operation procedure to help improve the overall operation and the service received by the guest.
  • Able to communicate successfully to suite holders, suite guests, and other premium guests.
  • Aides with other catering events or large stadium events as directed by the Premium and Catering General Manager.
  • Comes up with new ways to improve staff training.
  • Controls cost areas to assist the unit in meeting financial goals.
  • Knows all financial areas and statements.
  • Achieves assigned delegated budget goals.
  • Effectively uses all team training and development tools.
  • Hires hourly team who can deliver Levy operating standards and philosophies.
  • Ensures that all team members adhere to guidelines as set out in our standard operation procedures.
  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Promotes positivity, unity and team building in the department and in the service.
  • Other duties as assigned by Premium and Catering General Manager.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
  • Frequent periods of standing and walking.
  • Outdoor venue subject to changing environmental conditions.
  • Frequent use of stairs.
  • Size of Stadium tends to involve higher physical demands on event days.
  • Sensory Attention: this environment is a noisy loud environment on event days.

Language Skills

  • English is the working language at this job location. Candidate must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • French is considered an asset; but is not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-year previous customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 2-year previous hospitality experience.
  • Must have completed high school or equivalent. Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
  • Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
  • Must be able to demonstrate mathematical skills.
  • Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate.
  • Advance Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Product considered an asset.
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work all Redblacks Games.

Job Type: Full-time
