For all you Night Hawks, we have an exciting opportunity for Production Helpers. Our Summerstown, ON Client, a state of the art manufacturing company in the food packaging industry, are growing and want you to join their team! (Summerstown is a smaller community just 10 minutes outside of Cornwall, ON).
You will be assisting the Machine Operators in producing quality products. This is a permanent role based on successfully completing their 3-month probationary period.
Shifts Available & Compensation:
- Evening Shift: Monday - Friday 15:00PM to 11:00PM $20/hourly (plus .65 shift premium)
- Training will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Comprehensive benefits plan (80% paid by employer) after 3 month probationary period
- $300 per year Wellness Fund after 3 month probationary period
- $200/every 2 years for prescription glasses or safety glasses
- $150/year safety boot allowance
- DPSP plan with employer maximum contribution of 5% after 3 month probationary period

- Assist in the production of quality products by ensuring necessary materials are available and the work areas are kept clear.
- Retrieve and move material with the jigger lift truck
- Furnish the rolls necessary for production
- Assist the operators in lifting boxes of finished goods and place on skid
- Remove the waste material from the machines
- Empty garbage cans of the plastic and place in the cardboard skids
- Weigh the cages of waste plastic quarterly
- Handle various tools and material
- Maintain clean premises in the production area and around the machines
- Perform all other jobs or tasks as assigned by the team lead
- Perform roll changes on doubles and radiants.
- Responsible for compliance with all aspects of GMP, food safety and quality initiatives.
- Minimum 6 months of factory/manufacturing related experience
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items up to 15 lbs (6.8 kgs)
- Excellent organization and record keeping
- Quick on your feet and good decision making ability
- Ability to work in hot conditions in the summer
- Must be compliant with all aspects of GMP, food safety and quality initiatives
- Very noisy environment - PPE is mandatory
- MUST have valid drivers license and vehicle - no transit
