Meridian Manufacturing Inc., Regina, Saskatchewan has an opening for a Material Handler/Parts Picker position!

Job Summary

Reporting to the Kitting and Assembly Supervisor, the Material Handler will be required to move, load, and unload a variety of materials in preparation for customer and manufacturing orders. The material handler will be responsible to properly identify material with production drawings and bring them to the required location using a forklift.

Job Duties

  • Safe operation of forklifts ·
  • Timely retrieval and staging of product to meet production and shipping demands
  • Read production drawings
  • Product organization and product maintenance in shop and yard
  • Operation of measuring instruments such as tape measure and micrometer
  • Operation of powered hand tools such as impact drills

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Effective oral and written English communication
  • High school diploma or a recognized equivalent.
  • Ability to read blueprints will be considered an asset
  • Previous operation of forklift is required
  • Valid forklift certification from recognized institution is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
