Job Summary

Provide project coordination for complex projects in this career building role

The Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions leads the Province of British Columbia in efforts to improve the mental well-being and reduce substance use-related harms for all British Columbians. The ministry has overall responsibility for the development of a coherent, accessible, and culturally safe mental health and addictions system that is effective for individuals and families across the lifespan throughout the province. The Strategic Planning and Governance branch oversees the strategy for the transformation of the mental health and addictions systems of care to meet the government’s goals defined in A Pathway to Hope.

This role provides technical project management coordination functions for a variety of large-scale complex projects throughout the project management life cycle (i.e., initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out). The role is also directly accountable for assigned portions (e.g., sub projects) of larger projects as a project team member.



Job Requirements:

  • Some post-secondary education or training in project management or equivalent.
  • Experience providing project management and coordination services for assigned projects.


Preference may be given to applicants:

  • With a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • With one (1) or more years of related project management experience.
  • With experience working with Indigenous organizations and communities.
  • With lived or living experience of, or experience working with populations with, complex health and social challenges.
  • Who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.
