JOB SUMMARY

The Transportation Services department is responsible for providing a holistic transportation hub focused on addressing the planning, implementation, operations and delivery of all modes of transportation in the City of Ottawa, including safe, reliable and courteous transit services and excellence in customer service delivery to 100 million transit customers per year, by means of conventional bus, para transit and rail operations.

You are responsible for implementing and managing various projects relating to the assigned Branch operations and mandate, including coordinating project functions, maintaining official business records, tracking project progress, facilitating communication among project members, and coordinating training and planning. You also support senior staff in the decision-making process by conducting research, compiling and analyzing research findings, preparing briefings, and writing reports and responses, and assist with the operating and capital budget for the Branch.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 3 year community college diploma or university degree with concentration in studies relating to Business, Law, Financial Analysis, Computer Science or related field.

Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible and practical experience in coordinating projects, and providing analysis, recommendations and reports, preferably in a municipal environment.
