We are seeking an experienced Project Financial Analyst, responsible for delivering on the Financial Services Section Mandates in a
direct supporting role for capital projects managed by the Generation Project Management Department. This includes the
creation/maintenance of detailed estimate sheets (DESs), facilitate the capital planning cycle/updates, support the creation of Capital
Investment Justifications (CIJs), provide cost control, reporting and analysis to Project Managers and provide on-going contract
management support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional advice/guidance to Project Managers with by completing analysis of total project budget and budget
changes, as required for the Capital Planning Process. Assist the Project Managers with investigation of and explanations for
monthly capital project variances, as required for the corporate monthly Management Report and Business Unit Reporting.
  • Provide financial interpretation and guidance for projects managed by the Generation Projects Department, including but not
limited to network and activity structure, capital planning, financial outlooks, variances and in-service dates.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end project cost control reporting to Project Managers (PMs) using SAP, C55 Copperleaf
and/or Analysis for Office (AFO).
  • Provide financial guidance to project team members with respect to Contract Management Support which requires thorough
knowledge and understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  • Assist with the preparation and issuance of project capital investment justification approval documentation and utilization of
C55 for approval workflows.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor, manage and revise cost, cash flow and in-service dates during project
execution and for project close-out.
  • Provide input and recommendation towards project management standards and procedures.
  • Provide functional guidance/mentorship to members within the respective Financial Services teams.

Qualifications:

  • Professional designation (Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)) combined with one year of progressively responsible
work experience, demonstrating the skills and abilities required for the position.
OR
  • A four-year degree in Commerce or Business Administration from a University of recognized standing combined with four
years of progressively responsible work experience, demonstrating the skills and abilities required for the position.
  • Advanced knowledge and extensive experience and aptitude in the development of spreadsheet applications including
generation/maintenance of pivot tables, queries, macros.
  • Work experience in project environment and general knowledge of project management systems and principles is required.
  • Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and practices and of the Corporations procedures, policies and

regulations.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $36.55-$50.60 Hourly,
$70,043.48-$96,957.38 Annually.
