Purchasing Assistant Job at Human Capital Department

Human Capital Department Dartmouth, NS

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with manufacturing team to source, negotiate and purchase necessary materials and metals.
  • Process job orders in compliance with ISO 2001-2015.
  • Manage inventory for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Follow up with vendors on material/supply deliveries, coordinate pick up and deliveries with drivers to satisfy processing times.
  • Acquire shipping estimates for deliveries outside of HRM.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in a purchasing role, ideally in purchasing various metals or knowledge of raw materials would be an asset.
  • Organized and detailed orientated
  • Proficient in email, (Outlook), web browsers, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Knowledge of JobBoss 2 or a manufacturing ERP.
  • Willing to learn and take directions.
  • Good Communication skill - written and verbal.
