QUALITY MANAGER

Pertinent Information: Full-time, direct hire position with a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Steady day shift. Unionized facility. Three (3) direct reports.

Wage: To be discussed during the interview process. Compensation will depend on experience. Comprehensive benefits package included + bonus.

Location: Chatham-Kent, ON.

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Setting the quality strategies for the facility.
• Overall implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the site quality management system.
• Overseeing and engaging in problem solving efforts, understanding effects of decisions on other areas of the facility.
• Working with site, regional and global leadership, and cross functional teams, to ensure corporate strategy and standards are implemented.
• Acting as the primary customer contact for quality related interaction.
• Taking ownership to find solutions to problems.
• Setting strategies for support systems process improvements.
• Providing direction to team members based on general policies and management guidance.
• Interpreting and executing policies and procedures that typically affect reporting organizational units.
• Functioning as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations.
• Becoming involved as needed to meet schedules or to resolve complex/systemic challenges.
• Ensuring work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum five (5) years in a Quality Management position within a well established manufacturing environment.
• Ability to openly and effectively communicate about continuous improvement, build credibility through relationships, and provide leadership to the program.
• Excellent speaking-listening-writing and attention to detail.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Planning and organizational skills, such as time and resource allocation.
• Maintains a professional persona reflective of a leader in the organization.
