Internship duration: 4 or 8 months Hitachi energy is a global leader in technology, and the largest supplier of transformers in the world. We are pioneering the digitalization of transformers, while working on the frontier of renewable energy and ultra-high voltage AC & DC applications. The intern will be in charge of the implementation project for the electronic quality book. The intern will collaborate with technical specialists, supervisors, and employees to establish the flow of operations and control points for transformers and reactors. The project's goal is to eliminate the paper-based approach and centralize documents and data to provide a complete digital solution to employees and customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze technical documents (quality book, Operations Descriptions [ODs]).
  • Propose standard operation flows and checkpoints.
  • Work with technical specialists, operators, and inspectors to finalize workflows and checkpoints.
  • Establish workflows in ETQ software.
  • Propose user interfaces and conduct workshops with employees to determine preferred interfaces and workflows.
  • Work with the ETQ specialist to set up workflows and checkpoints.
  • In collaboration with the Quality and Operations Supervisor, develop graphical interfaces for key performance indicators.
  • Prepare technical documentation for the operation and maintenance of the software, including user training.
  • Perform document migration.
  • On-site work required to support operations

Your background

  • Student in industrial engineering or software engineering
  • Fluent in English and French (written and oral).
  • Working knowledge of Workflow Analysis (process napping) and Process Risk Analysis (FMEA) tools
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities with a team, and achieve objectives to meet project goals
  • Ability to make decisions and be autonomous
  • Communication and presentation skills with all levels of employees
  • Problem-solving skills and pragmatic approach.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Power BI, POKA, and ETQ is an asset
