As a Full-Time Radiology Clerk at a diagnostic imaging clinic, you are the face of the organization. Greeting patients in a warm and friendly manner is of the highest importance to who we are. You will also perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties with efficiency and accuracy.

CGA Medical Imaging operates with 3 clinic locations in Cold Lake, Bonnyville and Calgary. From time, travel to and from clinics is a necessity (usually between northern sites) Usual shifts are 8:00AM-4:30pm Monday-Friday but this can adjust from time to time based on what is needed in our communities - Flexibility is key!

In this position, the ideal clerical candidate should possess multitasking and organizational abilities, along with a strong work ethic, and a desire to work and grow together.

DUTIES

  • Maintains overall clinic schedule.
  • Enters various data items and populates statistics, using various software
  • Provides front-line reception.
  • Books clients for diagnostic tests.
  • Answers telephone calls, provides directions and handles basic inquiries.
  • Converse with patients to obtain demographic and health information.
  • Ensures work area is stocked and supplies are stored appropriately.
  • Maintains, organizes and enters information into databases (e.g. patient information, purchase orders, work orders, item information, and equipment inventory.)
  • Assists in the orientation and training of clerical staff.
  • Assist patients with exam preparation.
  • Chaperones certain exams such as endovaginal or breast ultrasounds.
  • Maintains and respects patient confidentiality at all times

EXPERIENCE

  • Successful roles held within a medical facility/clinic/hospital is an asset

EDUCATION

  • Medical Office Assistant diploma or comparable certificate is required
