We are currently seeking Registered Early Childhood Educator join our team at Northview Advent Child Care. In the Bathurst and Finch area.

Responsibilities
-Educator is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team and functions as a team leader or co-leader.
-Plan, organize, and implement quality early learning activities that reflect children’s interests for children in the preschool age group.
-Educator plans and implements curriculum and, with active participation of other members of the teaching team, works with parents, and assesses the strengths and needs of individual children.
-Responsible for following and implementing all policies and procedures created by the child care.
-Conduct observations and assessments of children’s progress and behaviour to ensure program meets individual and group needs.
-Work in accordance with the policies and guidelines set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, Toronto Public Health, and Toronto Children’s Services Assessment for Quality Improvement.
-Plan and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies, procedures and philosophy of the child care.
-Support children express their feelings using developmentally appropriate strategies.
-Conduct assessments and maintain daily records
-Responsible for the children’s welfare and safety at all times.
-Attend staff meetings and occasional special events.
-Responsible for making sure your room and equipment is sanitized, organized, professional looking.
-Ensure ratios are being met at all times.
-Perform other duties as required by the centre Supervisor

Qualifications
- fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine
-Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
-Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
-Previous experience with children in a child care setting.
-Current criminal reference and vulnerable sector check 6 months current to hiring date.
-Up-to-date First Aid and CPR training.
-Up to date immunization record.
-Knowledge of and be able to meet the requirements of the Early Years Child Care Act.
-Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen document.
-Knowledge of best practices in the Early Childhood Education field.
-Knowledge of Toronto Children’s Services Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI)
-Experience with HiMama an asset.
-work all shifts between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
