REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – Southwestern Territory (Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph)

Position Summary:

This is a hybrid role, supporting both our Retail and On-Premise accounts. On the Retail side, you will build and maintain relationships with store level decision makers at the LCBO, TBS, Grocery as well as Liquor Convenience Outlets (LCO) using data, influence, and a consultative approach to secure new product listings, additional facings, premium shelf placement and discretionary displays. Ensure optimal distribution of existing and new products in accordance with our distribution guidelines. Educate staff about our products and conduct sampling/training sessions as required.

With the On-Premise side, you will work with strategic partners where our target consumers will engage with Nickel Brooks' brands. You will help to plan distribution, brand activations and consumer engagement initiatives to increase brand equity and sales. Representative will work with partners to educate their teams about Nickel Brooks' products and to ensure they get to learn about our tasty beers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail (LCBO/GROCERY/TBS/LCO)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in each retail channel.
  • Maintain a regular call cycle and prioritize face time with high revenue outlets.
  • Use data to ensure the right product mix and formats are present in each channel/banner.
  • Optimize Nickel Brook’s visibility by ensuring premium shelf/fridge placement, strategic product grouping (brand blocking) and discretionary display placement.
  • Increase overall distribution in each channel
  • Conduct staff tastings and training to build in-store Nickel Brook brand ambassadors.
  • Ensure promotional campaigns are executed with excellence and tracked appropriately.
  • Log daily activities in CRM.
  • Manage personal expense budget.
  • Support and contribute to overall team objectives and dynamics.
  • Merchandising as required.

On-Premise

  • Manage new product launches in accordance with the new product roll-out strategy
  • Execute promotional programs as per regional strategies
  • Complete account surveys and collect competitive information from the field
  • Log all field activity through CRM
  • Contribute to overall team objectives and dynamics
  • Analyze and assess event opportunities within territory geography.
  • Prepare recommendations for events that will enhance brand awareness and drive revenue.
  • Manage all aspects of event execution.
  • Execute a Prospecting strategy to gain new listings and drive incremental volume

Additional Responsibilities

  • Product rotation
  • Support and participate in Nickel Brook’s “Door Drop” Program
  • Contribute to Nickel Brook’s social media presence

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of field sales experience, preferably in beverage alcohol retail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Possesses a valid and a clean G Driver's License
  • A genuine passion for craft beer
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to execute sales plans
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work occasional weekends as required
