Job Qualification

Primary Responsibilities:
Working with patients who required Level 3 ICU care
Responsible for ventilator and respiratory support - Must be able to work with step-down, vented and chronic vented patients
Monitor exact, detailed reports and records of the critical ICU patients
Monitor and record symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions and information to the physician
Carefully observe and document patient medical information and vital signs
Document patients’ medical histories and assessment findings, treatment plan, interventions, and revisions
Monitor the critical patients for changes in status and indications of conditions
Administering intravenous fluids and medications as per doctor’s order
Responding to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
Respond to various code situations e.g. code blue

Qualifications:
Preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Current registered nurse licensure in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum of 1,500 hours of experience in an Intensive Care setting within the past two (2) years
Proof of competency in ICU clinical skills
Current ACLS
Critical Care Certification
Proof of current immunizations for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap), polio, hepatitis B
Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or a negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Our experienced staffing coordinators, many of whom are pervious healthcare workers, understand your needs first-hand and will match you with the best shifts. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12hour shift.

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
