Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist Job at Appletree Dental for Kids
Calling all Registered Nurses and Respiratory Therapists who want a different change of pace with fantastic people!
Our pediatric dental clinic in Stoney Creek is seeking a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist for the recovery room on a casual basis of 2-4 shifts per month. Shifts can be scheduled on any day of the week except Sunday. More shift opportunities at our other locations across the GTA are possible if the candidate would like more hours.
RN/RT will be working alongside an anesthesiologist.
New grads are always welcome.
Job Duties include:
1. Provide safe care and treatment for Recovery Room patients before, during and after surgery.
2. Ensure that a safe environment is maintained for the patient.
3. Adhere to the standards set out by your respective college.
4. Demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach to patients at all times.
5. Communicate vital information with other members of the OR team.
6. Prepare equipment for surgical procedures and supports surgical procedures.
7. Plan nursing care in accordance with the patient’s needs.
8. Provide health teaching to patients to support their recovery at home.
9. Keep patient information confidential in accordance with legislation.
10. Management of inventory of medical supplies.
11. Administrative duties as directed by the Office Manager.
12. Other duties as required by the Office Manager.
Job Types: Permanent, Casual
Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
