About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Director of Care and/or designate and is the role model and team leader who coordinates and supervises the activities and duties of those who deliver direct resident care. The RN performs duties and monitors departmental activities in accordance with established standards, regulations, policies and procedures to maximize person served holistic quality care while maintaining resident respect and dignity.

We can offer a relocation package for full time permanent roles for this opportunity. This package can cover moving expenses, registration fees and travel expenses (receipts required). We offer up to $2,500 for BC candidates and up to $3,300 for out of province candidates.

We can also offer a signing bonus to new hires of $5,000.00 for a full-time permanent position on a two-year contract term!

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate of an approved program for Nursing and holds a current license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an RN.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing an asset.
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification and CPR.
  • Successful annual Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) competency testing.
  • Previous experience in a long term care facility an asset.
  • All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Computer skills including the ability to navigate basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be in good health, physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift, squat, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties of the position.
