Position Overview


Reporting to the Standards and Certification business line, this position will liaise and build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, partners, organizations, and individuals.


Accountabilities

  • Reviews materials from international standards setters on ESG reporting for corporations and government entities;
  • Prepares summaries and briefing notes;
  • Collaborates with other staff to draft responses to exposure drafts and consultation papers;
  • Compiles research related to Indigenous sustainability and biodiversity.

Qualifications

  • Must be aged 15 – 30 years to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs program; a permanent resident of Canada, a Canadian Citizens or legally permitted and protected under the Immigration and Refugee protection during the period of employment;
  • Enrolled or completion of a related Post Secondary program such as engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business, Sustainability, Economics, or relevant field an asset;
  • Passion for ESG, sustainability with a strong understanding of research methods, ESG data, frameworks, reporting, and industry best practices.;
  • Must have strong experience working with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong command of written and spoken English; French language skills considered an asset;
  • Must have an understanding, awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in West Vancouver or the Sunshine Coast, Ontario, Remote or hybrid work in the Vancouver/Sunshine Coast constituency will be considered.
