4K Engineers Ltd. is a PEO licenced Consulting Engineering firm and we are offering Project Management, Contract Administration, Site Inspection, and Material Testing Services to our clients. We are currently seeking Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA or P.Eng.) to work with our Project Team on large scale Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) Infrastructure projects such as highways and bridges.

Position: Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA or P.Eng.)

Requirements:

  • Candidate should be designated by OACETT as the Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) or certified by PEO as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria along with the application of sound professional judgment.
  • Track record of design delivery for, multi-discipline projects specifically, complex civil and facility projects.
  • Responsible for Contract Administration of provincial and municipal infrastructure projects (Ontario).
  • Liaise with the Project Managers, designers, field inspectors, contractors, and clients on a daily basis.
  • Processing progress payments, change orders, submittals, IR/CR, change directives, leading site meetings, preparation of minutes, and providing guidance to field staff in relation to construction contract documents.
  • Work with the Construction Administration Team Lead in the overall management of project site staff and departmental initiatives.
  • Work with Project Management staff to develop project policies and procedures related to quality, safety, the environment, and professional ethics.
  • Conduct Constructability Reviews as required on projects.
  • Liaise with Clients for future Construction work.
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of a project, which may require onsite inspection.
  • Site inspection as required to support project needs.
  • Analyze project billings and prepares payment status reports.
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision making related to the design changes.
  • Ensure the project contract documents are being followed by contractor (4K Engineers/Client specifications, drawings and standards).
  • Administer the RFQ requirements for assigned contracts.
  • Ensure quality controls processes are being followed.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Represent 4K Engineers Ltd. at Client meetings.
  • Analyze project billings and prepares payment status reports.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.
