We are a dynamic, fast growing organization currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager, Western Canada. We are looking for a driven, high-energy, strategic thinker with solid business-to-business sales and management experience.

Reporting to Josée, the Principal Director of Business Development and Marketing, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by generating and qualifying leads in western Canada with a focus in British-Columbia and Alberta. The ideal candidate will have experience hunting for new accounts, selling through B2B channels and a proven sales track record.

This role involves sourcing, emailing, calling and visiting many potential contacts and existing accounts as well as attending tradeshows and any events deemed appropriate. The Business Development Manager will be expected to focus 50% of the efforts in the field, including frequent travels within western Canada. There is a heavy emphasis on relationship building.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Source, generate, and qualify qualified leads from targeted industries (ei. Medical, Home improvement, dental, etc.)
  • Prospect for potential large accounts using various methods such as cold calling, LinkedIn, face-to-face meetings, networking events and emails
  • Develop strong relationships with potential new accounts and maintain a pipeline of new leads/prospects
  • Grow volume from existing accounts
  • Create a great first impression to prospects and customers by providing them with an exceptional, customer-first experience.
  • Identify customer needs and pain points to best position iFinance's financing solutions
  • Manage existing service providers database, to ensure all communications are logged and tracked
  • Develop strategic business development plan with management and sales team
  • Work closely with the sale team to develop new strategies to grow the sales pipeline, and consistently meet monthly objectives
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as defined by the management team.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with business development
  • Expertise in managing successful B2B sales
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Natural networker and outstanding communicator
  • A winner’s attitude with a proven track record of past performance, successes and achievements
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
