Position Description

  • Increase market share, sales and active buying customer base by working closely with ifm sales team to leverage local relationships and application success.
  • Engage with customer and potential customers to learn about their business, the products they make and the initiatives they have for improvement.
  • Implement a sales process that clearly defines the customers’ challenge and their concept for a solution.
  • Leverage technical product and application knowledge to provide high quality solutions to automation challenges.
  • Focuses on end users and OEMs in order to identify areas of possible cost savings and projects in all kind of industries
  • Develops relationships with Key Decision Makers by being a strategic partner and advisor to the customer, discovering new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.
  • Sales and technically savvy, creative, and with an excellent understanding of customer’s business. Able to identify possible challenges, he/she focuses on finding opportunities and get the support from the technical team such as FTSE (Field Technical Sales Engineer) and the Product Support Team.
  • Presentation of technical solutions to customers only after fully understanding customer’s business model with its challenges and needs.
  • Energetically approaches new business and prospecting to develop future growth.
  • Effectively communicate with customers using digital media such as web conferences, LinkedIn & phone calls.
  • Maintain close relationship with the customer Service and Back-Office team, who will process all documents such as call reports, quotes, special pricing contract etc…
  • Able to build the relationship at all levels in a company including owners, executives, engineering, production etc.

Candidate Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years proven sales experience, preferably in industry automation or manufacturing
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree is an asset.
  • Demonstrable knowledge related to the application of sensors, instrumentation, automation and networking solutions (IOT).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and close key prospect accounts with KDMs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience selling systems and software an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
  • Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.
  • Must be fully fluent in English (written and oral). Bilingual in French is an asset.
