YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:


Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Operate CAT and Sandvik Scoops, 8 yards and 12 yards;
  • Perform the work in accordance with our Health and Safety and quality standards;
  • Work safely and efficiently, meeting the desired production requirements;
  • Ensure the health and safety of you and your team during work;
  • May be required to operate other equipment associated to the production category (ref: Career Path);
  • May be required to obtain certification on other equipment associated to the production category (ref: Career Path).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Certification on Scoops, 8 yards and up;
  • High School Diploma;
  • Minimum of 4000 hours of experience on the scoop;
  • 2000 hours of experience on remote scoop operation and experience on camera operation is an asset;
  • Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) certification, or diploma in mineral extraction, or equivalent;
  • Underground hard rock mining modular training certificate or equivalent is required for the position;
  • Mining Engineering Plan Reading skills;
  • Valid Approval Letter under the Explosives Regulations or equivalent document such as Explosives Permit, PAL or Nexus Card;
  • Certification on other equipment in the production category will be an asset;
  • Possess the physical requirements to perform the duties of the job;
  • Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
