QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Completion of High School (or equivalent) is required. Possession and maintenanceof (1) a valid driver’s licence and (2) a current (February 2023) acceptable Criminal Records check and a current Driver’s Abstract is also required. Applicants must be able to successfully complete the necessary training for a Marsec Security Training Certificate. During the selection process applicants will be required demonstrate a working knowledge of computers in a windows environment and be being able to demonstrate the basic use of both Microsoft Word and standard email functions.

The Security guards will be required to complete security sweeps of the area before and after each ship. Rounds of the property must also be completed on a daily basis ensuring buildings and property are secure.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Preference will be given to applicants with a background in the security field. The successful applicant will be required to participate in shift work.

IMPORTANT - Current employes working in other classifications are welcome to apply. The ability to assign a current employee to this “temporary” security role will depend upon the flexibility to be relieved in your regular position for short periods of time.
