Retail Store in Woodstock, Ontario
Duties and Responsibilities :
Uniformed Security Guard primary duty on this assignment is Loss Prevention. This Position has many duties and responsibilities that are important to prevent the company from losing money and merchandise, but also keeping the shopping experience safe.
The following are major duties and responsibilities of a this Assignment:
* Monitor problematic areas for unusual activity and potential threats.
* Utilize the Appropriate procedures to conduct arrest of those commiting Theft Under $5,000.00 and Theft Over $5,000.00
* Monitor security systems like alarms and closed-circuit cameras, as required
* Create detailed reports of activity and incidents.
* Work with law enforcement to detain suspects of shoplifting.
* Position may occasionally offer Plain Clothes Positions
* Other duties as assigned
Experience and Requirements :
* Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
* Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED
* Valid Use of Force Training Certification an asset
* Valid Level G Drivers Licence an asset
* Previous Experience in the Private Security Industry an asset
* Previous Experience detaining or individuals an asset
* Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, a must
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Woodstock, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Ontario Security Guard Licence (preferred)
