National Bank is currently recruiting a Senior Fraud Advisor to work on a digital transformation initiative. You could be the person we're looking for!

Your role:

  • Be an expert advisor on projects, influence and help achieve the business unit’s objectives by implementing solutions in order to optimize business processes and client satisfaction
  • Guide and oversee initiatives that have a significant impact on Financial Crime Risk Management in order to increase the sector’s effectiveness, efficiency and productivity
  • Adopt a risk management approach to implement best practices in fighting financial crime
  • Understand business issues, identify stakeholders’ needs and propose strategies to ensure that priority initiatives are developed and implemented
  • Make sure stakeholders understand and adhere to the objectives, mandates, business issues and orientations of projects
  • Keep abreast of new developments in your sector of activity and identify opportunities to ensure advances in processes and systems
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with the various stakeholders and sectors involved in projects and act as a resource for these stakeholders and management
  • Develop and maintain the Fraud Risk Management Policy
  • Take a leadership role and assist in fraud investigations

In terms of operations, you will also have to:

  • Plan the exercise to implement and map the ecosystem
  • Produce the fraud heatmap
  • Monitor daily events/trends and escalate any news as needed
  • Monitor the action plans for which we are responsible
  • Produce and comment on KPIs and dashboards associated with the role

Competencies required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with large-scale projects from inception to post-deployment
  • Experience rolling out and executing best practices in managing fraud risk
  • Specialized knowledge of fraud and related topics
  • Knowledge of banking transactions and products, an asset
  • Strong aptitude for research
  • Discipline, autonomy, innovation, and team spirit
  • Professional certification such as CFE, CISSP, CFCS, an asset
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (French/English) is essential because you’ll regularly work with partners across Canada and abroad
