The Company

Escape Fire Protection Ltd. is a leading fire sprinkler contracting company based in Abbotsford, BC. We specialize in the installation of residential and commercial sprinkler systems throughout the Greater Vancouver area. In addition to our sprinkler contracting services, we have an established inspection and testing division, and are now focusing on growing this aspect of our business. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and dedicated Service Technician to join our team and contribute to the growth of our inspection and testing services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire safety equipment maintenance, repair, and inspection, and will be eager to grow their skills and advance their career as our inspection and testing division continues to expand. The Basic Responsibilities

  • Perform basic services: fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lights and sprinkler systems, adhering to regulations, Fire Code and Municipality guidelines
  • Install and maintain various types of fire protection systems at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to service-related problems
  • Complete inspection reports, associated deficiency quotes, material and labour documents.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective services
  • Answer and address emergency calls (after-hours and on weekends)
  • Inspect, service and troubleshoot existing systems
  • Mentor / train Jr. Fire Service Technicians, as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while performing quality inspections.
  • Perform code-compliant inspections of addressable and conventional systems
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • ASTTBC endorsements (AL, EM, EX, WA)

The Hours of Work

  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
