Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Job at Synic Software Inc.
We are looking to hire an experienced developer with a strong understanding of the Ruby and Rails framework along with the Mysql and PostgreSQL database, having 5+ years of work experience.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating front-end elements into the application. Should have extensive experience working with ruby and back-end integration techniques. You must be able to consistently deliver in a fast-paced environment and should be more than willing to build websites and software that people love to use.
We are currently seeking freelance developers for 2-8 week long projects.
Required skillset:
- RoR 4+
- RESTFull API
- Strong SQL knowledge
- PostrgeSQL
- Javascript
- Jquery
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Writing effective and scalable code in Ruby
- Building back-end components for web applications
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to define & design of new products, features, and functionality (senior role)
- End-to-end delivery, implementation, development testing, defect investigation and resolution
- Testing applications for performance, responsiveness and security
- Effective communication skills as you will be in direct and regular contact with the client
- PostgreSQL and data model design (logical & physical data models)
- Experience consuming third-party libraries, APIs and Web services
- Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues.
