Senior Software Engineer - Generalist Job at This Game Studio
This Game Studio is seeking a best-in-class Senior Software Engineer. We are an independent game studio seeking candidates who are great at what they do, and would enjoy working on a dynamic, diverse, and positive team.
This is a full time position, with a great benefits plan, no crunch, and uncapped paid vacation. Remote work (in BC) or onsite in our Yaletown studio are both options.
As one of This Game Studio’s Senior Software Engineers, you will specifically be expected to:
- Work as part of an agile team to build complete, high-quality, end-to-end solutions
- Design, implement, document, debug, optimize, and test
- Participate in code reviews
- Maintain and build core competency of technological knowledge, staying in touch with emerging technologies, and share this knowledge with colleagues
- Demonstrate teamwork to foster strong team dynamics, and a highly collaborative working environment, which includes mentoring less experienced colleagues
Basic qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in the games industry
- Multiple shipped titles
- Familiarity with Unity, C# and .NET
- Understanding of efficient architecture and performance/memory optimization
- Must reside in BC and be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred qualifications:
- iOS / Android Development
- C++
- Javascript
- Steam development
