About The Opportunity:

We are looking for an energetic and versatile individual to assist in the City's Service Centre. Our Service Centre is a point of contact for most general phone, e-mail, internet and in person inquiries and payments and provides a convenient and efficient method for accessing municipal information and conducting transactions in both the Call and Walk-In Centres. The hours of work for this casual position will be scheduled between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.


About Your Background:

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma along with completion of at least one business course. You have a minimum of two years' experience in a comparable service environment. (Organizations with comparable service challenges may include banks, airlines, hotels, social service organizations, other municipalities and government agencies). Considerable knowledge of administrative practices and accounting principles are required along with strong computer skills. Incoming call centre and dispatch experience or training are considered assets. Seminars and/or courses pertaining to customer service, interpersonal relations, conflict resolution and communications would also be beneficial to success in this role. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License (or out of province equivalent) is required. The successful candidate will be required to consent to a Police Information Check for offenses related to the position.
