We aree operating a housing focused, stabilization Shelter for people who are unhoused, or living in shelters, who require a safe, comfortable place to stay and work towards housing.

We are looking for people who are interested in 4pm-12am, 12am-8am (overnight) and weekend shifts to do monitoring, case management and support.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the designated Supervisor of the Stabilization Shelter for the Homeless, the Shelter Support Workers (SSW) will ensure that all clients are provided front-line services and have their individual needs met.

SSW will work in direct collaboration with volunteers to help all guests adhere site rules and guidelines.

SSW will be responsible for assisting guests and volunteers with various daily tasks such as laundry,case management, access to emergency items, supervising guests and ensuring the safety and contentment of all.

REQUIREMENTS

CYC/PSW/Human Resources or similar education/work experience.

Minimum of 1 year experience working with vulnerable populations.

Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check Mandatory

Ability to work in a team environment.

Empathy and understanding for vulnerable populations.

Flexibility in availability an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: $20.00 per hour
