Job Duties:

● Utilize hand held tools such as nail guns, staplers, saws

● Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons

● Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers

● Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding

● Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape, using strapping machine

● Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers

● Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

● Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies

● Collecting all material and equipment needed to begin the process

● Operate machinery used in the shipping process

● Operate Fork Truck, Reach truck and/or Shipping supervisor

● Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities

● Follow all company rules and policies

● Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task

● Follow all safety rules and quality standards

● Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

● Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 50 pounds using a hoist)

● This job entails some outside work/loading of trucks

● Must be prepared and capable of working outdoors throughout each season

● Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies

Requirements:

· Shipping and Receiving experience

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion

· Ability to multitask and prioritize properly

· Complete assignments in a timely manner with little supervision

· Great attention to detail

· Working knowledge of Excel and Google

· Experience with basic tools an asset for assembly of kits

· Valid G-License
