Site Supervisor / Superintendent

We are looking for qualified site supervisors with a minimum of 5 years direct experienced running projects in industrial, commercial and institutional construction settings. Your job will entail organizing and managing the day-to-day activities, workers and sub-contractors on the site to meet the set out construction schedule. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, organizational, inter personal skills to provide excellent customer service to the owners while working closely with the Project Manager.

Specific Skills
Co-ordinate subcontractor activities, Calculate amounts and order materials needed, Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements, Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, Maintain, repair and renovate structures in industrial and commercial establishments

Skills

Proven experience as carpenter. Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials. Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.). Ability to read technical documents and drawings. Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times. Good knowledge of English. Good understanding of basic math.
