Job Summary:

The internship will be related to developing new features for NavOps - a product that enables enterprises to run HPC (High Performance Computing) workloads in the cloud.

The NavOps team is comprised of 3 teams; one team developing the front-end web UI, and two teams developing the back-end systems. The internship position is with one of the back-end teams.

The component that will specifically enhanced is the command-line utility, which is used for interacting with the NavOps REST API by system administrators and advanced users.

What You Will Do:

The NavOps command-line (CLI) utility has been developed using the Go programming language. Currently, the CLI only supports loading single NavOps configuration objects at a time. The goal of the internship project will be to implement an enhancement to the CLI for batch loading multiple configuration objects at once. This work will involve:

• Becoming familiar with the Go programming language
• Learning how the NavOps CLI source code is developed and structured
• Becoming familiar with NavOps concepts
• Plan a strategy for implementing a batch loading system in the CLI
• Present the plan to the NavOps engineering team
• Implement the plan
• Testing the implementation
• Documenting the feature
