Smithers Sausages is a small business in Hamilton, ON. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to hire someone to help us run our company through kitchen work and off-site events .

Our ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual. The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards, making and packaging products, and inventory and ordering, scheduling and event orgaization. Our Sous Chef must have strong communication skills, enjoy working with others and available to work at offsite events and markets. A solid understanding of food preparation, cooking, and cost control is also required for this position. Ideal candidate will also have drivers license with clean driving abstract.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory and order food and supplies for the kitchen.
- Work with staff at events and markets to serve customers.
- Keep floors, refrigerators, tables, and equipment clean and sanitary.
- Drive and work markets and events solo

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
