The responsibilities of the specialist include, but are not limited to: Providing data quality assurance. Analysis of extensive amounts of data. Developing internal processes including manuals, tip sheets. Develop templates for AR Clerks to support reconciliation preparation or data review. Prepare or Review Oracle R12 Balance sheet account reconciliations. Ensuring reconciling items are followed up on a timely basis. Assist in communication across various Covenant Health and AHS teams. Prepare memos for distribution on new or modified processes, requirements, or data explanations stemming from adopting Connect Care. Assess effectiveness and efficiency of current and future AR processes. Recommend and develop internal controls based on new workflows from EPIC. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an accounting or Accounts Receivable environment in progressively responsible roles. Must possess high commitment to providing quality customer service. Proficient in MS Suite of Products including: Excel, Word, Visio, Access, and Outlook. Knowledge of Pivot Tables, V-lookups, and index matching formulas. Experience working with and protecting confidential information. Experience with reconciliations with large volumes of data. Experience with change management. Ability to work on an independent but collaborative basis, dealing effectively with individuals at all levels and possess a high degree of initiative, judgment and decision-making capabilities in resolving requests/issues. Must be flexible in order to accommodate competing and changing workload demands.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, multi-task, meet deadlines and handle overlapping demands. Provides excellent customer service at all times. Ability to deal with frustrated and challenging employees, managers, and patients / residents and ensuring their issues are resolved. Ability to handle highly confidential/sensitive issues tactfully and diplomatically. Ability to diplomatically handle numerous interruptions. Critical thinking and judgment must be used often while dealing with complex or unusual problems and issues, in addition to decisions requiring changes to established policies, regulations or processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Connect Care system desired. Experience in healthcare an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and telephone skills.
