In order to support our rapid growth, Wasserman has built a robust internship program designed to introduce driven, hard-working students and young professionals to the sports and entertainment industry.

As a Design Intern on Wasserman's Creative + Content team, you will support in delivering creative for some of Canada's largest and most impactful brands. You will be involved in a variety of campaigns and sporting events, working closely with a Sr. Designer, Project Manager, and a number of our Account Teams. You will experience variety in your day-to-day and have the opportunity to further develop your skills in a fast-paced, agency environment. Ultimately, we are looking for an enthusiastic graphic designer who is looking to make a tangible impact in the industry. Someone who is a conceptual thinker, translating ideas into innovative and effective design solutions, willing to wear multiple hats to assist our team wherever they are needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Design collateral for campaigns, events, social/digital platforms, and other comprehensive marketing deliverables.
  • Work alongside a Sr. Designer, Project Manager, and Account Teams to create captivating visuals and designs adhering to brand guidelines/aesthetic for all clients, providing fast, reliable turnaround within given deadlines.
  • Have the opportunity to support the broader Creative + Content team on integrated pitches and project work across our client portfolio.
  • Demonstrate the ability to brainstorm in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Monitor ongoing creative trends within sports, music, lifestyle and entertainment, to offer relevant creative recommendations and educate fellow team members.
  • Create and/or format internal and external presentations.
  • Track all time spent on all projects.
  • Support in Creative + Content administrative duties and deliverables.
  • Be detailed in your organization of projects. This includes management of project briefs, awareness of project specs, deadlines, files, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, certificate in a design-centric field or experience in a relevant field.
  • A highly developed understanding of Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and Keynote.
  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro and WordPress will be considered an
  • asset.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at any given time.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, delivering on tight deadlines.
  • A strong attention to detail and quality of work output.
  • A knack for picking up brands' visual identities, understanding why they work and switching between them quickly.
  • Has a keen eye for colour, typography, captivating layouts, and what "works visually".
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate with maturity and effectiveness at all levels of an organization.
