You are an organized team player who can provide support to the Valuation and Customer Relations department with general office administration and the collection, maintenance and verification of property assessment data.

You have:

  • Enrollment in post-secondary education in Real Property Administration, Urban Planning, Geography, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field, with a confirmed return to school in September
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills in order to assist branch with concurrent priorities
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A valid G2 or G Ontario driver’s license

Nice to have:

  • A valid Boating License - Pleasure Craft Operators Card

What you will do:

  • Provide assistance with general office administration and the collection, maintenance and verification of property assessment data
  • Develop internal spreadsheets to organize and track the status of building permits and various work objects
  • Assist with minor building permit reviews and the retrieval of property assessment data via GIS and aerial photography
  • Input and verify property assessment data and ensure data accuracy in internal databases
  • Participate in property inspections and refer all discrepancies and general questions from the public to the Manager

Note: The successful incumbent will be based out of one of the following MPAC Offices: Fort Frances, Kenora or Thunder Bay


Rate: $16.25 per hour (first-time Summer Student) or $17.25 per hour (returning Summer Student)
