Supply Chain Co-ordinator Job at COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Canada) Inc.
COSCO SHIPPING is one of the major ocean carriers in the world. COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Canada) Inc. (headquarter) is located at downtown Vancouver, Suite 2288 – 1055 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, BC V7X 1K8. We have an opportunity for a temporary Supply Chain Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting team members in the Supply Chain department in our reginal office located at 1 Av Holiday, Tour Ouest, Suite #220, Pointe-Claire QC, H9R 5N3.
This is a full-time, temporary position in Supply Chain Department reporting to the Manager of the department.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle and assist with truckers’ inquiries
- Release orders of door to truckers
- Communicate with vendors, truckers and other departments for daily operational issues
- Proofread trucker invoices
- Bill out extra fees to clients
- Responsible for updating container movements in internal system
Skills/ Requirements
- Junior College degree or higher
- Work experience in Container Shipping/Freight Forwarding preferred
- Attention to details
- Good with mathematical calculations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast paced environment and competent in multi-tasking
- Good team player and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and can adapt to new and different web-based systems easily
- Open and willing to learn new tasks
