Supply Chain Planner

The successful applicant for this opportunity is a strong, analytical self- starter with excellent computer skills. You will use your knowledge of MRP, customer supply chain processes, project management, demand planning and forecasting to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels are maintained.

As part of the Supply Chain Team, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning, execution, and sell through analysis for all display tools. This role will include the following tasks:

  • Plan and execute all aspects of production planning (internal and external) including inventory prebuild for major events including innovation, back to school and holiday
  • Monitor the inventories of all finished goods, ingredients and packaging materials, and continuously replenish them to the optimal levels
  • Report on sell through to understand residual inventory. High focus to ensure stock is available and reduction in clearances
  • Seek, develop and manage 3rd party co-packers
  • Manage and execute multiple projects using project management skills
  • Set yearly standard cost for programs and develop reduction plans through tendering
  • Perform root cause analysis on key issues and report customer service levels to the executive team and their subordinates
  • Take the lead on identifying and executing process improvements

Your highly developed communication, organizational and problem-solving skills will be coupled with 1-2 years of supply chain planning experience and a college diploma/university degree in logistics, materials management or a related field. You have experience working with ERP/MRP systems and above average proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience working with SAP and Cognos would be considered assets.
