Community Disability Support Worker: Community Support Program: Part Time in Spruce Grove

Edmonton Integrated Services (or EIS for short!) is currently looking for a passionate and attentive Community Disability Support Practitioner (CDSP) with experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities with high behavioral needs.

Our Agency develops and offers a variety of services and programs including Independent and Supported Living, Residential & Group Home Care Support, and Community Access and Inclusion Programs.

About the Role

Based in the Spruce Grove area, the role of a CDSP is to work collaboratively with and at the direction of the Agency’s Program Supervisor while effectively providing compassionate care and attentive support to adult Individuals Accessing Services (“IAS”) with developmental disabilities and behaviors of concern.

The Day to Day:

  • Assist in the development of daily routines and community activities that align with the overall needs and development of the Individuals Accessing Services within the Community Support Program.
  • Ensure the strategies outlined in the Individual’s Support Plans are monitored and being documented regularly and accurately.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication records and reporting within the Program, ensuring administrative procedures as established by the Agency are followed.

Candidate Qualifiers:

  • Working experience providing individual care and support to adults with developmental disabilities, creating and implementing strategies with individuals with high behavioral needs is a must. CPI experience an asset
  • Formal and/or Professional Education in Rehabilitation or Human Services a major asset
  • Intermediate computer skills with applied experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Practical experience and accuracy with maintaining service records and reporting
  • Ability to interact professionally while building positive relationships with Individuals, their guardians, family members, and other community resources.

  • Ability to provide Government issued documentation full COVID-19 vaccination.
