**FULL TIME SURVEY ASSISTANT**
Civil North Consulting has an immediate opening for a full time survey assistant. Civil North Consulting is a new emerging company focussed on Civil Engineering and Surveying. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a highly qualified team of surveyors.
We are currently seeking a survey assistant primarily working on a fast paced Oil and Gas related project; however, the successful candidate will be working on other projects as well including forestry, municipal, and land development.
Under supervision of our senior surveyors, you will assist in a broad range of survey activities including topographic survey, construction layout, quantity survey, and control setup. In addition to survey activities you will be required to take accurate field notes, complete site inspection reports, and perform various calculations.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a technical diploma or have a strong interest in the field of work.
- Experience in construction, engineering consulting, or forestry industry is an asset.
- Experience in with RTK GPS and/or Total Station is an asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset.
- First Aid Level 1 is an asset.
- Willing to work in remote areas.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Valid drivers license is required.
