Your tasks
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners Repair or
- replace damaged hardware
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. Upgrade systems to enable compatible software
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone) considering that the
- support will have to be for all entities in Canada
- Setting up accounts for new users. Offering assistance to computer system users which may be with hardware or software
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Perform tests on new hardware and software
- Define software, hardware and network requirements.
Your profile
- DEC Computer Science Technology combined with 3 years related experience
- Problem-solving skills, as an IT support specialist is required to effectively identify an issue and tackle them efficiently
- Demonstrated ease with technological applications with a proven ability to work in a PC and Mac environments using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong ability to work / research a variety of applications is a very strong asset.
- bilinguism (French and English)
- Ability to assess computer related problems, troubleshooting skills.
- Well developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills which enables an IT support specialist to efficiently understand and handle clients or staffs’ requirements, and also provide support in tackling technical issues, while also reporting to the upper management
